Anti -Ragging Cell

1. Introduction

Sunder T T College is committed to providing a safe, secure, and ragging-free campus environment. The College strictly prohibits any form of ragging within the campus and in hostels, in accordance with the guidelines of the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the relevant provisions of law. Ragging in any form is a punishable offense and is strictly dealt with zero tolerance.

2. Objectives of the Anti-Ragging Cell

The Anti-Ragging Cell has been constituted to:

  • Prevent any form of ragging within the campus.
  • Create awareness among students about the harmful effects of ragging.
  • Promote a culture of mutual respect, discipline, and harmony.
  • Address complaints related to ragging promptly and effectively.

3. Definition of Ragging

Ragging includes any act that causes physical or psychological harm, harassment, intimidation, or humiliation to a student. This may involve verbal abuse, physical misconduct, cyberbullying, or any behavior that violates the dignity of an individual.

4. Anti-Ragging Committee

The College has constituted an Anti-Ragging Committee comprising senior faculty members, administrative staff, and student representatives. The Committee monitors the campus regularly and ensures strict implementation of anti-ragging measures.

5. Preventive Measures

The following measures are undertaken to prevent ragging:

  • Display of anti-ragging notices on campus.
  • Submission of anti-ragging affidavits by students at the time of admission.
  • Orientation programs to sensitize students about anti-ragging norms.
  • Regular monitoring of campus premises.

6. Complaint & Redressal Mechanism

Students can report incidents of ragging to the Anti-Ragging Cell or the designated Nodal Officer. Complaints may be submitted in writing or through email. All complaints are treated confidentially, and strict action is taken against those found guilty as per institutional and statutory guidelines.
