Code of Conduct for Students
Our College is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and academically enriching environment for all students. The Student Code of Conduct outlines the standards of behavior expected from every student and applies to all academic, co-curricular, and campus-related activities, including online platforms.
By enrolling in the College, students agree to abide by these standards.
1. Academic Integrity
Students are expected to uphold the highest standards of academic honesty. This includes:
- Submitting original work.
- Properly citing all sources and references.
- Avoiding plagiarism, cheating, fabrication, and unauthorized collaboration.
- Complying with examination and assessment regulations.
- Academic misconduct may result in disciplinary action in accordance with College policies.
2. Respect and Professional Conduct
Students must:
- Treat fellow students, faculty, staff, and visitors with respect and courtesy.
- Promote an inclusive environment free from discrimination and harassment.
- Respect differences in culture, religion, race, gender, identity, and beliefs.
- Refrain from bullying, intimidation, or threatening behavior.
3. Classroom and Learning Environment
To maintain a productive academic atmosphere, students are expected to:
- Attend classes regularly and punctually.
- Participate constructively in academic discussions.
- Avoid disruptive behavior.
- Follow instructions and course requirements set by faculty.
4. Use of College Facilities and Resources
Students are responsible for:
- Using campus facilities, laboratories, libraries, and technology appropriately.
- Respecting College property and the property of others.
- Avoiding theft, vandalism, or misuse of resources.
- Adhering to IT and internet usage policies.
5. Health, Safety, and Well-being
Students must:
- Comply with all health and safety regulations.
- Follow emergency procedures and campus security guidelines.
- Refrain from possession or use of prohibited substances or weapons.
- Report unsafe or hazardous conditions.
6. Online and Digital Conduct
The Code of Conduct applies to digital environments, including:
- College learning management systems.
- Official communication platforms.
- Social media when representing the College.
- Students must communicate respectfully and avoid cyberbullying, harassment, or misuse of digital resources.
7. Anti-Discrimination and Harassment Policy
The College maintains zero tolerance for discrimination, harassment, or retaliation. All complaints will be addressed promptly, fairly, and confidentially in accordance with institutional procedures.
8. Disciplinary Process
Violations of this Code may result in:
- Verbal or written warnings
- Disciplinary probation
- Suspension
- Expulsion
- Students are entitled to fair process and the opportunity to respond to allegations.
9. Acceptance of the Code
Enrollment at the College constitutes acceptance of this Code of Conduct. Students are responsible for understanding and complying with all policies outlined herein.
